Rasterize Pictures in PS

WHAT IS IT?

Pocess of converting the vector, smart object, text into a raster graphics.

Note:

Photoshop will automatically detect rasterize option.

Method 1

  • Here I will show you how to rasterize pictures in the Photoshop.

  • Open Photoshop.

  • Go to File > Open.

  • In the appeared dialog box, select an image file you want to edit.

  • Click on the open button.

  • Go to Layer menu > Rasterize > Layer Style.

Method 2

  • When we are drawing some shape, that is vector picture by default.

  • For editing purpose, we need to rasterize the picture.

  • Select a vector picture, here I selected a shape.

  • Right click on the layer.

  • Select the Rasterize Layer Style to make it raster.

  • And we can edit this layer.
