Fedora Installation

Steps for Installation

  • This guide shows you how to install Fedora.

  • First, make a bootable pen drive to install one.

  • Download the ISO file from the official site. (getfedora.org)

  • Click the Download link.

  • After download, make a bootable pen drive with Rufus software.

  • Insert into the PC & reboot.

  • Set the flash drive as boot priority highest in BIOS setup.

  • If you are ready to begin, insert your Fedora Linux USB and restart your computer. 

  • A Linux based screen will appear.

  • Select Test this media & install Fedora 27.

  • The first step in the installation process is to choose your language.

  • Click "Continue".

  • Set the followings such as a keyboard, time, date & language.

  • Select Software Selection option.

  • Select the Fedora Workstation for the personal desktop.

  • Click on Done.

  • There are a lot of base environment versions available.

  • Here is the most important part of the installation, where we are going to make partition.

  • Click on the Installation Destination.

  • This hard disk has 50gb unallocated space, we can install the Fedora here.

  • Click on the + button.

  • Fill the detail as below.

  • Mount point as /boot.

  • Click on Add mount point.

  • Create another mount point as 1GB,
