Chrome Remote Desktop

WHAT IS IT?

  • Chrome Remote Desktop is a remote access application that allows users to share or take control of a remote machine.

  • Allows you to assist your friends computer remotely.

  • Also allows a user to connect and access his own computer.

  • You can use a computer or mobile device to access files and applications on another computer over the Internet with Chrome Remote Desktop.

  • You have to install the extension from the Chrome store. 

  • Downloads the Chrome Remote Desktop app.

  • Open webstore on google chrome.

  • Search Chrome Remote Desktop extention and click on Add To Chrom.

  • Click on Add app.

  • On computer, open Chrome.

  • In the address bar, type chrome://apps, and press Enter.

  • Click on Chrome Remote Desktop.

  • In the address bar, type chrome://apps, and press Enter.

  • You will get this window as below.

  • Pick what you want to access.

  • You might need to click Get Started first.

  • For remote assistance another computer.

  • To connect our own computer. 

  • Between your computer and friends computer.

  • Between your computers.

  • To connect you own computer.

  • Your chrome shuld be signed in with same account.

  • Under "My Computer", click Get started.

  • Click Enable remote connection.

  • Enter a PIN and re-type the PIN.

  • Click OK.

  • Click Yes to intall the Chrome Remote Desktop sevice.

  • Open remote desktop website on a desktop or open a chrome remote desktop application on mobile device.

  • Login to google account in chrome.

  • The computer you allowed should show up under "My Computer".

On Remote Computer

Select the host computer

  • Confirm the Google Account and enter the PIN again to continue.

On Remote Computer

Enter the access code

  • Click on Stop Sharing button to stop the sharing form host computer.

  • Share you computer with someone else.

  • You can give others access to your computer.

  • They will have full access to your apps, file, imails, documents and history.

  • On your computer, open Chrome.

  • In the address bar at the top, type chrome://apps.

  • Press Enter.

  • Click Chrome Remote Desktop.

  • Click Get Started.

  • To create an access code, click Share.

  • Sent the code to the person you want to let use your computer.

  • When the other person enters the access code, they will see your email address and have full control of your computer.

  • To end a sharing session, click Stop sharing.
