What is Frame?

A frame rate in the video is the number of separate frames that are introduced to the viewer in a particular time frame.

It is used in motion picture, TV and computer for video display.

The frame rate is often measured in frames per second.

It is also known as frame frequency.

The unit is FPS (Frames per second).
A video file contains a number of frames to make a moving video.
1 frame = 1 picture
More the frames, more smooth the video is.

And the video will more smooth.

The camera does not record motion it records Frames at different rates.

Means every second it recording 24 frames.

Then it combines and compresses to make a video.

It will translate to moving pictures, which looks like video.

At the output devices such as monitor, projector, theater, it gives 24 frames (pictures) in a second.
